Jock Athletic would like to say a very BIG thank you to all those who came down to Wanda Beach, Cronulla on Australia Day to take part in the annual Australia Day Running Festival.
It was fair to say Mother Nature likes to keep us guessing with the weather each year. A MASSIVE thank you, like massive, to our volunteers, sponsors, first aiders for your support, year after year. And of course you guys, the runners, the walkers, and everyone in between- you make us want to keep doing it every year. Sincere thanks.
Photos coming soon - promise!
Congratulations to our Wanda X-treme 6 champions, Ali Najem, winner of this event for the first time, ahead of Jordan Anderson and Duncan Gardner. In the womens, Ciaran Williams took top honours ahead of Rebecca Stewart and Wanda's Emma Brown. Aesome!

In the Jane McGrath Classic 2.5km Family Fun Run/Walk, Jono McLennan pipped local Ironman John Woods on the line in the tightest finish in the event's history, with local Lachy Crawford rounding out the podium. It was a Wanda Surf Club whitewas in the women's race, with 2km specialist Emily Rohr donminant in the womens, taking first ahead of last years winner Chloe Gentle, ahead of teammate and Wanda's Lara Saunders.
And FINALLY, Team Jock Athletic (pictured) was too strong for the rest to take out the coveted Corporate Dash Relay, ahead of Summer Salt Restaurant, Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar Cronulla, Warren Saunders Insurance Brokers, the North Bondi Soft Sand Harriers and BDO Accounts. In a first in the women's event, Crust Cronulla put on a dominant display to win top honours ahead of Team Jock Athletic.
Such a great day all'round - thanks to all of you for being part of this event.
