Junior Running Program

Our Junior Development Squad is an introductory running program for junior runners aged 5-12 yo.

It's designed to be a fun and welcoming environment for those kids just starting out, with a focus on learning the basics of running, combined with improving speed and endurance which they can apply to other sports.
We also prepare our older juniors for school athletics and cross country races

The program is run on a school term basis, with the idea to progress our runners to the main squad once they've mastered the basics.

School Term Dates for 2020:

Term 1    28 January - 9 April (10 Weeks)
Term 2    27 April 29th - 3 July (10 Weeks)
Term 3    22 July - 25 September (10 Weeks)
Term 4    12 October - 18 December (8 Weeks)                                       

 

Details:

Times:       Wednesday afternoons    4:30 - 5:15 pm

                   Friday afternoons             4:00 - 4:45 pm

Where:      Sylvania Athletics Track, Sylvania Waters (northern end)

Bring:        Drink bottle and a hat
