Australian Fast Bowling great Mitchell Johnson and Former Australian Cricket Team Head of Physical Performance Jock Campbell have joined forces to release BOWLFIT , a world-first fitness training App for fast bowlers.

Free to download for both Apple and Android, BOWLFIT targets both male and female cricket athletes aged 14 years and older and offers users a sneak preview of the complete APP. Through paid monthly subscription, users have access to a complete high performance program suitable for athletes of similar age and ability, including access to special feature master classes and over 300 videos by Mitch and Jock on all things bowling high performance, including strength, conditioning, flexibility and more.

Jock Campbell, Director of High Performance at Jock Athletic, says “ As a young cricketer, I would have loved BOWLFIT - there was no program or support like this around. Now BOWLFIT allows me to deliver over 30 years of specialised cricket conditioning experience to all young fast bowlers, right to their back pocket.”

Now at the backend of a successful international career, Johnson says BOWLFIT is his way he can give back to the game. Says Mitch “When I was growing up, I had people helping me. Nowadays, I have promising young bowlers almost every other day asking me ‘how can I get stronger?’ or ‘how do I bowl faster?’ BOWLFIT allows me to give them the answers to those questions at the push of a button.”

Using his experience, Campbell has taken several components of the programs that he used through his time with the Australian Cricket Team on fast bowlers like Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath & Jason Gillespie, to produce effective and user-friendly programs for fast bowlers of all fitness levels. The BOWLFIT programs have been successfully tried and tested over the past two years on over 50 cricketers, from 14 year old juniors, to first grade fast bowlers, to professional cricketers, some of whom include Ben Cutting, Lockie Ferguson, Rush Kalaria, Brad Hogg and of course Mitchell Johnson.
